Galderma has implemented the Utrace Analytics data analysis system

Pharmaceutical company Galderma has connected the Utrace Analytics cloud solution to analyze data on labeled products. Now the pharmaceutical company receives transparent reporting on the entire supply chain in automatic mode.

Galderma, a dermatological drug manufacturer, pays special attention to compliance with regulatory requirements in terms of ensuring product quality and safety. In 2020, the company deployed a product labeling system based on the Utrace Hub cloud platform. As part of the IT infrastructure modernization project, Galderma also connected the Utrace Analytics analytical solution.

Utrace Analytics allows you to automatically aggregate data on balances, disposals and movement of pharmaceuticals from the IS “MDLP” and monitor various business indicators. At the same time, the data obtained from the state system is, firstly, free – unlike distributor reporting. Secondly, they come from each participant in the distribution chain – which means that the company can build the most complete and transparent picture of product sales.

Utrace Analytics workbenches were deployed at Galderma in just five days, allowing business users to start working with data immediately.

“For us, the main factor in choosing Utrace Analytics was the ease of use of the system and the ability to quickly obtain data from the state IS “MDLP”. This allowed us to free up some of the analyst’s resources that were required for routine and labor-intensive processing of various reports. In Utrace Analytics, business users can independently work in the system and obtain the necessary dashboards, reports and calculations in a fully automatic mode. Galderma uses the Utrace Analytics system both to manage internal processes and to improve the efficiency and productivity of medical representatives — for this purpose, Utrace adapted the system for work “in the field”. The company’s medical representatives have access to special dashboards — they can track the withdrawal of goods and balances at specific addresses online from a tablet. You can select a district and drill down to the street and house. A medical representative can use this data to personalize offers for current customers or find new pharmacies where the company’s products are not yet available.

The project included the implementation of custom reports at Galderma’s request. Information from the MDLP IS arrives faster than from other sources — thanks to this, the company was able to speed up the process of data aggregation and processing, which allows for prompt management decisions. Transparent analytics throughout the entire distribution chain helps to apply various planning models in territories and sales channels. Based on reports from Utrace Analytics, a system for assessing and rewarding “field” employees in Galderma was built.

“We try to keep our finger on the pulse of market changes and expand the product taking into account the needs of our customers. Galderma was one of the first companies to contact us with a request to adapt Utrace Analytics for the work of medical representatives.
