The GoPro HERO13 Black is an action camera equipped with a high-performance image stabilization function that allows you to record videos with less blur even in situations where the camera shakes violently. You can check the shooting performance with the default lens in the article below. This time, I will try shooting a video with the GoPro HERO13 Black equipped with the “Ultra Wide Angle Lens Mod”, “Macro Lens Mod”, and “Smart Motion Blur ND Filter”.

◆1: Ultra wide angle lens mod
The “Ultra Wide Angle Lens Mod”, “Macro Lens Mod”, and “Smart Motion Blur ND Filter” look like this. The three lenses are part of a series called the “HB series lenses,” and when you attach each lens to the GoPro HERO13 Black, the settings will automatically switch to match the lens.
First, I will try installing the ultra wide-angle lens mod.
Remove the lens that comes standard with GoPro HERO13 Black by pulling it upward and turning it counterclockwise.
This is what it looks like when you remove the lens.
Next, screw the ultra-wide-angle lens mod clockwise.
Lens replacement is now complete.
When you attach the ultra-wide-angle lens mod to GoPro HERO13 Black, “Ultra-wide-angle” will be displayed at the top of the screen, and various setting items will be switched to those for the ultra-wide-angle lens mod.
When you install the ultra-wide-angle lens mod, the shooting range will be expanded by 36% compared to normal. The widest angle of view setting is “Ultra HyperView (12mm)”.
A video shot with the GoPro HERO13 Black equipped with the ultra-wide-angle lens mod, with the resolution set to 4K, frame rate set to 30fps, angle of view set to Ultra HyperView (12mm), and image stabilization set to On. is below. I shot a first-person video of the person cycling slowly, but the wide angle of view and the surrounding scenery changed rapidly, resulting in a video with a sense of speed.

◆2: Macro lens mod
Next, attach the macro lens mod and shoot a video.
This is what it looks like when you attach the macro lens mod to GoPro HERO13 Black.
The macro lens mod is equipped with a focus ring that allows you to adjust the focus position from 11cm to 75cm.
Below is a video shot with the macro lens mod attached to GoPro HERO13 Black, the resolution set to “4K”, the frame rate set to “30fps”, the angle of view set to “Wide Angle”, and the image stabilization set to “On”. I moved the camera along the ground and took a picture from a “dwarf’s first-person perspective.”

◆3: Smart motion blur ND filter
The Smart Motion Blur ND filter is a set of 4 pieces: “ND4”, “ND8”, “ND16”, and “ND32”. By attaching it in place of the standard lens, it is possible to lengthen the exposure time and generate motion blur, and the higher the number, the stronger the motion blur effect.
I tried installing an ND32 filter on the GoPro HERO13 Black.
The filter type is displayed at the top of the screen.
I attached an ND32 filter to the GoPro HERO13 Black and shot a video with the resolution set to “4K,” the frame rate set to “30fps,” the angle of view set to “Wide Angle,” and the image stabilization set to “On.” Exposure settings are automatically set according to the type of filter installed.
