Another leak shows iPhone 17 Pro camera bar redesign

Even though the iPhone 16e isn’t even out yet, the world is still eager to get a peek at Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro ahead of its September reveal.

A new batch of CAD files shared by notable leaker Majin Bu shows off heavily revamped iPhone 17 Pro models, as well as the rumoured iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17, which looks pretty similar to the iPhone 16.

Many past leaks have lined up with the new iPhone Air and the 17 Pro redesign, so there isn’t much new to learn here, but it does lend some credence to the other rumours.

These new models have a larger camera bar, and it looks like the iPhone 17 Pro might even have a more uniform aluminum body with some sort of glass window to allow for wireless charging in the back. What seems strange to me about these renders is that even with the larger camera bar on the Pro iPhones, the lenses are still not flush with the device.

Overall, there is no way to know for sure if these are real, and I’d also like to say that Apple’s final products often find a way to look more premium than leaked or fan-made renders suggest. That said, the one thing we likely can bank on is that there will be lots of changes to the iPhone design, and maybe a new addition to its lineup this fall.
