Ed Hardy, a columnist for the popular portal Cult of Mac about Apple, reported, citing his sources, that the vendor could lose the market for “smart” devices if it does not deal with the problem of smart glasses.
According to Hardy, Apple risks being left without an audience amid the leap in the development of AI if it does not figure out Apple Glasses. According to the reviewer, Apple Vision Pro is the best augmented reality headset, but “it’s huge, expensive and will take years to develop.” Therefore, to develop a more affordable product, Apple must start with a basic device – Apple Glasses, which combine a camera, speakers and Siri voice assistant.
“Unlike the cutting-edge Meta* Ray-Bans, Apple Glasses will have limited functionality and will require an iPhone to operate. However, this basic device will have more features than AirPods and will cost less than $500. Apple Glasses are not expected to hit the market until 2030.”
