Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok were sued by a school for “making young people addicted” and lost, facing more than 150 claims for damages

The plaintiff in a lawsuit in which school districts in 19 U.S. states sued four major social media companies alleging that social media such as Instagram and TikTok intentionally made young people addicted to SNS, thereby harming their mental and physical health. A judgment was handed down in favor of a portion of the complaint. As a result, it is reported that social media companies may be required to pay damages in more than 150 lawsuits in total.
