The microcode released by Intel this time fixes an internal voltage handling issue that is a major cause of system instability, as well as an issue where Pconfig error reporting may be incorrect, and LCRD1 from a USB 3.2 hub. This fixes an issue where the connected xHCI controller abnormally sends ACK due to the availability delay of (link credit 1).

The microcode is provided for Linux distributors to incorporate into their OS releases. If distributors support this, microcode updates will be implemented in conjunction with Linux kernel updates, so users will not need to take any special action.

This problem came to light after a series of reports, mainly from gamers.
