“Bluesky network analyzer” is a web app that allows you to enter the Bluesky handle name and display the popularity ranking of “users followed by the people the user is following.” It seemed like it would be useful for finding users with similar interests or interesting users, so I actually tried using it.

When you access Bluesky network analyzer, a handle name input field will be displayed on the screen, so enter your handle name and click “Analyze”.
Please wait for a while as the aggregation process begins. Please note that processing may take some time if there are many users who follow you or if there are many users who are followed by following users.
The aggregated results display looks like this. The popularity rank and user name are displayed on the left, and the number of users following the user is displayed on the right.
If you click “Sort by proportion (favours niche accounts)” at the top of the tally results, the display will change in the order of “percentage of following users to total followers.” In the standard state, “users who are popular with the general public” tend to rank high, but with this ranking, “users who are gaining niche popularity among the users they follow” tend to rank high.
Bluesky network analyzer also allows you to directly follow each user in the aggregate results. To use the follow function, you need to enter the “app password” for linking with external apps. First, click “Add an app password to enable follow buttons (optional)” at the top of the screen.
Click “Go to Bluesky settings to create an app password”.
When the Bluesky app password creation screen opens, click “Add app password”.
Enter any name and click “Next”.
Copy the app password when it appears. If you close this screen, you will no longer be able to see your app password, so you must copy it before closing.
When you paste the app password into the input field, a follow button will appear to the right of the username.
In addition, you can enter the handle name of a user other than yourself in Bluesky network analyzer, so you can speed up your search for users with similar interests. However, as mentioned above, if you enter the handle name of a user with a large number of followers, it will take a long time to process, so please be careful.
