Russia to launch satellite-based digital services — Ferra.ru

GTLK CEO Evgeny Ditrikh emphasized that the development of satellite technologies and scaling of constellations is a national priority. He noted the growing interest in satellites among transport companies and the prospects for leasing this equipment.

As part of the agreement, GTLK plans to launch a preferential leasing program, which will allow companies to quickly deploy satellite constellations without major capital investments. This program will also support satellite manufacturers through guaranteed orders, noted Evgeny Ditrikh.

The parties will jointly conduct experiments on the use of satellite technology to monitor and analyze drone flights. In addition, they will develop tools for processing and analyzing data obtained from satellites and drones, which will provide new opportunities for transport and infrastructure management.
