On December 26, 2024, two possible sixth-generation stealth fighters were spotted over China. One of them has been tentatively identified as J-36.
The J-36 made its debut flight near Chengdu, Sichuan, accompanied by a two-seat Chengdu J-20S pursuit aircraft. The J-36 has a tailless, delta-shaped design that relies on advanced systems for control and enhanced stealth. This configuration significantly reduces radar signature and air resistance.
The arrangement of the air intakes on the aircraft suggests the presence of three engines, potentially providing greater thrust and maneuverability. On the same day, another tailless fighter was seen flying alongside a Su-27 clone demonstrating similar stealth capabilities.
