Streaming in Canada on Crave, Disney+, Netflix and Prime Video [Sept. 23-29]

Every week, MobileSyrup outlines some of the most notable movies and TV shows that recently hit Canadian streaming platforms.

An aspiring toy designer from El Salvador must work with a cantankerous artist in New York City to get a new work visa.

Problemista was written and directed by Julio Torres (Los Espookys) and stars Torres, Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton), RZA (Wu-Tang Clan), Greta Lee (Past Lives) and Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet) as the narrator.

An agnostic sex podcaster and newly single rabbi try to make a relationship work amid wildly different lives.

Nobody Wants This was created by Erin Foster (Gilmore Girls) and stars Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Adam Brody (The O.C.), Justine Lupe (Succession) and Timothy Simons (Veep).

Rez Ball [Netflix Original]

After losing their star player, a Native American high school basketball team must struggle to keep their state championship dreams alive.

Based on Michael Powell’s non-fiction sports novel Canyon Dreams, Rez Ball was directed by Sydney Freeland (Reservation Dogs) and stars Edmonton’s Jessica Matten (Frontier), Julia Jones (The Twilight Saga), Amber Midthunder (Prey) and Kiowa Gordon (Dark Winds).
