The 65+ best Walmart deals you can shop now: Live updates

ZDNET

Summer is over, and we have officially entered the holiday shopping season with some of the biggest deal events of the year. Walmart’s holiday shopping event is in full-wing and the best part is that Walmart allows you to shop for deals without a pricey membership. All you have to do is visit the site and start shopping.

Another major perk of the sale is that if you prefer in-person shopping, you can do so at Walmart and still take advantage of the sales though today, Sunday. These Walmart deals span every tech item you can think of and lots more, making this the perfect opportunity to purchase something you have been eyeing or get a head start on your holiday shopping.

The first 12 hours of this deal event were open to Walmart+ members only, but now the sale is open to everyone until it ends Sunday evening. If you do want to join Walmart+, it’s $98 for the year and comes with perks like free grocery delivery, free shipping with no order minimum, Parmount+ streaming, and more. You can also try a 30-day free trial. To make your Walmart deals shopping experience easier, I’ve rounded up some of the best deals below.

Our favorite Walmart deals right now

  • Apple MacBook Air 13.3-inch M1 Laptop for $649 (save $50): ZDNET first reviewed the M1 MacBook Air back in 2020, and then again in 2022, and both times concluded that the model is a solid option for users who want to keep the convenience of a lighter, portable model without sacrificing efficiency. Apple products rarely go on sale, so this is a deal worth checking out.
  • Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) for $189 (save $60): If you are an Apple user and are interested in trying out a smartwatch for the first time, the Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) is the perfect smartwatch for you. Despite its budget-friendly pricing, it has all the basic functions you need, including fitness tracking, heart-rate monitoring, sleep insights, Crash Detection, water resistance, and a good battery, earning it a spot as ZDNET’s best Apple Watch for kids and first-time buyers.
  • Apple Watch Series 9 45mm GPS + Cellular for $379 (save $150): Even though Apple released its Watch Series 10 last month, last year’s Series 9 is still  a very competitive model, packed with the latest and greatest features, even earning it a spot as the best Apple Watch for most people. The watch is $150 off in rge Midnight Aluminum Case colorway, making it a great time to buy it.
  • Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum for $430 (save $220): If you are in the market for a more traditional vacuum instead of a robot vacuum, this is a great option as it is slim, cordless, and powerful. The best part is that you can save $100 now, and Dyson products don’t go on sale often.
  • Apple AirPods Max for $479 (save $70): The AirPods Max have a sleek look and fun colors to choose from while offering instant connectivity, multi-device switching, Transparency Mode, Spatial Audio, and exceptional sound. Because the AirPods Max are over-the-ear headphones, unlike the AirPods Pro, you can completely avoid them falling out of your ear, and the lightweight feel guarantees comfort for hours.
  • Acer Nitro 31.5-inch Curved Gaming Monitor for $159 (save $70): Monitors can help upgrade any gaming or even work setup, but are typically a big investment. Despite boasting impressive features such as a curved 31.5-inch screen, you can buy the monitor today for nearly a third of the price.
  • Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless Headphone for $260 (save $120): ZDNET’s headphone reviewer Jada Jones deemed the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless Headphones as “audiophile approved” with “unrivaled sound quality, a marathon battery, and all-day comfort.” Despite only being released six months ago, they are already on sale, which is a pretty good offer.
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic for $298 (save $132): If you’ve been looking for a smartwatch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is a great candidate with an AMOLED high-resolution display, a Samsung-unique rotating bezel, and classic, sleek look.

FAQs

What is the Walmart Deals event?

Walmart’s October holiday deal event begins on Oct. 8 at 12 a.m. ET for Walmart+ members and Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. ET for everyone. The deals event ends six days later, on Oct. 13. The event’s date was likely strategically planned to happen at the same time as Amazon Prime Day.

Does Walmart price match Amazon deals?

Walmart does not price match competitor’s online or in-store prices, including Amazon. However, we have found that many Amazon Prime Day deals can be found on Walmart. The major difference is that at Walmart, you do not need a Walmart+ subscription to shop the deals, whereas on Amazon, you need an Amazon Prime subscription.

How did we choose these Walmart deals?

ZDNET parsed through thousands of deals, identifying the ones that offer the best value. These metrics include factors such as ZDNET’s expert reviews, the price drop, how often the item goes on sale, and, ultimately, its quality.
