Visualize Wi-Fi radio waves and display them as “waves” to simulate how far the radio waves can reach from the router.Wifi Solver” had been published, so I tried simulating it.

The theory behind WiFi Solver was published in 2014.inventionIn 2015, an app called “WiFi Solver FDTD” was released based on the theory. The WiFi Solver that appeared this time is a rebuild of the WiFi Solver FDTD and ported to the browser.

The first thing displayed is a wave representation of the Wi-Fi radio waves from the router.
Scroll and click on the part that says “A realistic simulation of a house (best with a strong GPU)”.
A map prepared as a sample will be displayed, allowing you to simulate how far the radio waves from the router can reach.
Click “Start” immediately.
A simulation is performed assuming that a router is installed at one location on the map, and waves will gradually spread from the router to the surrounding area.
If you hit a wall on the map, the radio waves will weaken and reflect.
Changing the colors from the color palette makes it easier to see where the radio waves are strong. Below, you can see that the radio waves are strong because the color is darker in areas that are not blocked by walls, such as the lower right and upper right of the router.
“EM field”, which is set by default, displays the current amplitude of the electromagnetic field. Select “Power” to display the radiated power per time average.
Select Outline to display the object’s outline, select Index to display the object as filled, or select Hide to hide the object.
You can also create your own map by registering an account, but you will need 5 euros (about 820 yen) to unlock the creation function.
